Dr Clayton Thomas has just completed 25 years membership of the Institute of Corrosion. During that time he has worked on numerous corrosion problems and presented courses all around the UK, USA and Europe. He has also written and presented technical papers on stress corrosion cracking and corrosion-fatigue. Although he has worked on many aspects of corrosion he has particular experience in the cathodic protection of offshore structures and has been responsible for designing the corrosion prevention systems on a number of subsea projects. He has also has extensive experience in oil and gas corrosion and the selection of materials for oil tool applications.
